How to Reach:

By Air : Kangra Airport is the Nearest Airport just 17 Km from Dharamkot. You can get here by connecting flights from New Delhi and Chandigarh Airports.

By Train : The nearest railway station is at Kangra which is 27 Km from Dharamkot, It is connected to Pathankot Railway Station through a narrow-gauge line.

By RoadOvernight buses run from New Delhi to Mcleodganj from where Dharamkot is just 4 Km. You can also get buses to Mcleodganj from Shimla, Manali, Dehradun, Chandigarh, and Pathankot.

However, if you’re looking for some tranquility in the winter – Kareri offers that to the max as well. March to July (i.e. pre-monsoon season) and then again from September to December (before frigid temperatures) makes for a wonderful weekend trek experience.

It is best to avoid the monsoon season as maneuvering the mountains during that period can be tricky.

The Kareri village is situated around 27 km from Dharamshala you can easily hire taxis from Dharamshala and even Bir, Palampur and other main centers around the region. It will take you 1.5 hours to reach Kareri from Dharamshala. For reaching Dharamshala there are multiple options available.

                                     However  we must tell you with any hill station you’re planning to visit, chances are, reaching by road is the most convenient option. However, train and air connectivity are available, even though a portion of your travel will need to be by road.
